The Artistic World of Maroc d'Agafay

Maroc d’Agafay – a modern work by Laure-Anne Sarron inspired by the Agafay Desert in Morocco, highlighting mineral landscapes, light and a meditative atmosphere.

Painting created in acrylic on very high-quality paper (ARCHES mill). The work belongs to the Horizons series and seeks to capture and synthesise the colours of the Moroccan desert, where each piece is the result of an intimate journey across the world. In this work, the hues of the Agafay Desert in Morocco are condensed.

A horizon line crosses the surface, dividing two fields of colour: that of the soft sand, contrasting with the clarity of the sky. This line acts as both a trajectory and a boundary: it suggests passage and crossing whilst marking the limit.
