L'ENVOL (THE FLIGHT)

Like life itself, L'Envol is a work that questions the passage of time, the awareness of our passing, and the transformation of being through the ages.

Against a turquoise background, a color of openness and depth, three vertical bands unfold, their distinct textures suggesting the layering of experience. These three planes symbolize the major stages of life: childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Each period is represented by a specific color and material, revealing successive states of construction, tension, and stabilization.

The artwork is traversed by a thinner, deliberately irregular, horizontal orange line. A true timeline, it embodies the transformation, movement, and effervescence of existence. Sometimes continuous, sometimes fragmented, thick or almost imperceptible, it evokes both vital energy and ruptures, difficulties as well as moments of fluidity. This line recalls the fleeting nature of time, while simultaneously underscoring the need to be aware of it in order to appreciate its value.

L'Envol is part of the "Resilience" series, an artistic exploration conducted through color and material, questioning how our lives are structured, constantly oscillating between balance and imbalance. The work thus proposes a symbolic architecture: a structure that supports the individual, society, and memory, while simultaneously revealing their intrinsic fragility.
