A stormy evening. The infinite darkness spreads. In the distance, the storm rages, still far away, yet menacing.
Then comes the giant ball of lightning, a mass of gold and grey fractured in the darkness.
An impact on my retina: that instant when light strikes the eye, when black and gold vie for the canvas as they vie for the sky.
